Officers in Sigma Chapter are elected in the spring of even-numbered years to serve a 2-year term. Repetition of term is governed by the Standing Rules as adopted in the fall of 2006. Typically, the Nominations Committee presents its slate of suggested officers at the February meeting. Voting by the membership then takes place at this meeting, with installation occurring at the Spring Birthday Brunch.

The treasurer is appointed by the president to serve throughout the president's 2-year term. The immediate past president serves as parliamentarian.
