Frank Borman was part of the first space rendezvous mission, Gemini 7. On December 21, 1968, Borman led the first team of American astronauts to circle the moon. Their mission in Apollo 8 gave us our first close-up view of the lunar surface and of the Moon's backside. Most significantly, their mission made way for future crews to land on the Moon. He was also the CEO of Eastern Air Lines from 1975 to 1986.
