Chester Gregory

Born in Gary, Indiana. |

 Mr. Gregory graduated from Emerson School for Visual and Performing Arts in Gary and went on to receive his BA in Musical Theatre from Columbia College, Chicago. Since then, he has worked with a myriad of gospel choirs and R & B groups, writing, producing and arranging songs. He's been privileged to have opened for the renowned gospel duet of BeBe and CeCe Winans, pop sensation TLC and R&B group Silk. He released a CD called "My Name is C.G.". He is best known for his portrayal of Jackie Wilson in The Jackie Wilson Story (Jeff Award, Black Excellence Award) at Black Ensemble. Others include Doo Wop Shoo Bop, Chicago's Golden Soul, and Drowning Crow (Goodman). He guest starred on the new TV series "American Dreams" (NBC). He was just cast in Disney's Broadway musical "Tarzan" opening in May, 2006. |
