Ms. Betz was a fashion copywriter for Harper's Bazaar magazine and wrote monthly features for Seventeen and Women's Home Companion magazines. During the late 1940's, and early 1950's, she wrote books for adolescents with cartoon drawings and humorous verses by Anne Clark. Her books focused on self-help and emphasized sensibility, being considerate, generous and natural. The titles included Your Manners Are Showing, The Party Book, The Teen-Age Know-How, The Career Book, Manners for Moppets and The Teen-Age Cookbook. She was also a popular lecturer and something of a celebrity with lines of merchandise.
