What is the Kiwanis Club of Merrillville?
We are an association of men and women committed to volunteer service and charity in our community. Since we were chartered in November, 1978 the Kiwanis Club of Merrillville has donated labor and financial support to many worthy causes in our area. The motto of Kiwanis is "We Build." This includes a better community, a better state, a better nation and a better world to live in. Kiwanians are deeply committed to working with youth and many of the programs both local and internationally focus on helping young people prepare for adulthood. Kiwanians attend weekly club meetings where they listen to interesting guest speakers and plan projects for helping the community.
