Do you ever feel that your concerns are not being heard or that you're being judged because of your child's emotional, behavioral, and mental disability?  Do you want a greater voice in the treatment of your child?  And, do you lack connections to community resources?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you're not alone.  But you have a resource.

We help families better address the needs of children with Serious Emotional Disabilities (SED), ensuring that everyone has equal access to community resources.  How?  In part, through advocacy efforts to get practitioners to view the entire child and his or her family rather than focusing on the disability.  After all, it's only when families are treated as equal partners in planning, implementing and evaluating services, have appropriate and accessible support, and are empowered to make decisions about their own lives, that needs are truly met

Family Action Network provides support, advocacy and education to parents and caregivers of children with serious emotional behavior disorders.
