The Highland Dollars for Scholars Foundation is a tax-exempt, not for profit organization whose sole purpose is to provide scholarships for any Highland resident graduating from high school and going on to a post secondary education/training.
There are many ways you as a donor can give "Dollars" to a Highland Scholar. We receive contributions through United Way pledges, Indiana Educational license plate revenue, and Target Educational contributions. Highland elementary schools, Highland Middle School, and Our Lady of Grace have supported HDFS since our organization began in 1994 through their parent groups.
Two annual fundraising activities are held each year. In the fall we hold our annual "Phon-A-Thon" asking for contributions from the residents of Highland. The HDFS winter fundraiser is our annual "Buck for a Basket" project asking businesses, organizations, and individuals to contribute.
Highland Dollars for Scholars maintains accounts for businesses, organizations, and individuals whose contributions are over $500 and wish to give scholarships in their own name.
