Deaf Services, Inc. (DSI) recognizes the need and right of Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals to have equal access to services in their communities.  The barriers to receiving services from federal, state, local and private agencies are often insurmountable for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.  DSI was established in 1978 in response to the special support needs of this population group.

DSI is a non-profit agency funded by Lake Area United Way, United Way of Porter County, Family & Social Services Administration, third party payment for services, grants, and contributions for services from community organizations and special events

Our Mission
