November 14, 2008 2:00 pm The Calumet City Historical Society presents Calumet Region Archivist and Author Steve McShane speaking on the history of the South Shore Railroad Line on it's Centennial Anniversary.

Aviation Exhibit and Presentation to
kick-off
"Year of Transportation"
Plans are in the making for 2008 to cover various aspects of
transportation related to Calumet City - Talks and exhibits on famous nearby
roads, railroads, boats, the Debut of Cynthia Ogorek's much awaited book on the
Lincoln Highway in Illinois are some of the highlights.
