A POWERFUL VOICE
IN A CHILD'S LIFE

The Lake County CASA Program

The Lake County CASA Program speaks up for abused and neglected children in juvenile court.  Last year over 800 new child abuse and neglect cases were filed in Lake County courts.  The CASA Program is a strong voice in juvenile court, speaking up in the best interests of these children.  Become a Court Appointed Special Advocate.  Help these children find safe, permanent homes where they can thrive.  Be a powerful voice in a child's life.  Be a CASA volunteer.

Call 738-CASA.  CASA Volunteers:  Ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

Speak Up for An Abused or Neglected Child.
Become a CASA Volunteer!

The training is thorough, intense and very rewarding.  As a CASA, you are a sworn officer of the Juvenile Court, which enables you to help an abused or neglected child by gathering information about a child's needs.  You present your findings  and make recommendations to the Juvenile Court at hearings, which occur approximately every five months.  You are always able to schedule your CASA volunteer work around your commitments, and our support staff is always available to assist you if necessary.
