The Calumet Gem and Mineral Society of northwest Indiana is an active club for people interested in rocks, gems, minerals, and earth sciences (geology).

You don't have to be a "rockhound" to join. Membership is optional. Everyone, from all ages, is invited to attend our educational meetings as often as they wish without becoming a formal member.

The Calumet Gem and Mineral Society takes field trips to geological sites, learns lapidary hobbies by instruction, and has monthly programs with guest-lecturers on geology, silver-smithing, faceting, mineral-collecting, and rock identification.
